Charles J. Brophy is the U.S. East Regional President of HUB, providing leadership across the New England, New York, Pennsylvania and Mid Atlantic territories. He also serves as a member of the Executive Management Team.

With more than 35 years of experience spanning commercial underwriting, London-based brokerage and senior executive leadership, he brings a long track record of driving productivity and delivering results for both carriers and clients. In 2025, he was inducted into Insurance Business America's Hall of Fame — a distinction honoring professionals who have shaped the industry through vision, innovation and an unwavering commitment to developing talent. He was also named Insurance Professional of the Year by the Insurance Library Association of Boston and serves on that organization's Board of Directors, as well as on the Advisory Councils for Arbella and The Hartford.

Brophy joined HUB New England in 1996, previously serving as a director with London-based Bain Hogg Robinson LLC and as a senior underwriter at Travelers Insurance Company. As President of HUB New England, he grew the region to over $180 million in revenue. Under his leadership, the East Region has grown to over $1 billion — a testament to his vision for building high-performing teams, executing disciplined growth strategies and integrating acquired firms with purpose and care.

Beyond business results, Brophy is deeply committed to mentoring talent and developing career paths where people can flourish. He serves as Executive Sponsor of the HUB Women Network and founded the East Region Culture and Belonging Council. He is a graduate of the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire.
